Apollo Max Muzzle Brake

Before buying, I had read the reviews to make sure I was getting what I paid for. I just received it today for my CVA cascade chambered in 30-06, and I can gladly say no comment even came close to explaining how great this thing actually is. To get the negative out of the way early, the timing nut and collar didn’t fit with the brake, so I had to use shims but that wasn’t much of a hassle. For the positive everyone is searching for, my 30-06 now recoils like a +P 5.56 round (maybe just a tiny bit more but cmon it’s a powerful 30-06 round) . I can shoot from a standing position and keep the scope on what I’m aiming at the entire time. The slogan “be your own spotter” is spot on and I’ll be getting these brakes for every one of my guns that are able to have them.

I put one on a mid-tier 5.56 AR-15, I got this break because of people I follow on the internet, they endorsed and I had enough to get one, finally got a chance to shoot it, I’m now a lifetime customer ever AR I buy will be getting of these.

Very disappointed that the Apollo Max does not fit my Benelli lupo. Don't make the same mistake I did. There's not enough threads. This must to be an AR platform only muzzle so there's enough threads. I think I need the Apollo LR but waiting on feedback

Review of installation is the lock nut might not be correct for your barrel dia.. Seems crazy that only one lock nut is provided and if it doesn't fit you need to order an overside at $33 + tax + shipping. Save yourself added $50 and buy another brand or use crush/peel washer or just file off the shoulder.

I added this to my psa ar 10 308 and it barely flinches when I shoot it now. Of course it is pretty loud so you’ll need hearing protection if you shoot it more than a few times but you already expect that when you ordered a break this style.

This product is fantastic! Installed upon a .308 bolt rifle. The results is that it performs as advertised. The recoil and muzzle rise are tamed tremendously with this product. Very well done, thank you.

Got this mounted on my DD DDM4 V7 5.56 16". I also bought a heavier buffer H2 so to try and tame the light recoil the rifle had. I installed this and timed it per instructions. Fired 1 shot and I was amazed. I mean it has less recoil and motion than my CZ 457 .22 LR. As you might imagine I never installed the buffer. It shines with either 55 or 62 grs. Gas blast to sides is amplified as expected so is the loudness. But for Competition these things don't matter. Best brake out there, fullstop. Buy it!

I bought the Apollo Max through OP for my AR10 with a 20" barrel firing 6.5 Creedmoor and the recoil was greatly reduced but the upper ports are too big. It is pushing down so hard that I had to do over a full rotation on my scope to attempt to compensate for it and I am still shooting too low. I definitely would not recommend this for my setup but I think if they made one exactly the same that didn't push down so hard it would be awesome. Smaller or adjustable ports would be amazing!

Got the 223/556 absolutely incredible how much recoil is reduced. Definitely worth the buy. Little to no recoil compared to before. Best muzzle break for your money.
