PEGASUS has been meticulously engineered to provide superior recoil reduction and neutralize muzzle rise with a smooth, balanced release of blast energy in a tanker-style compensator. Compensation ports strategically divert gases away from and out of the shooters line of sight while the progressive 90º side ports vent combusting gases at intervals that spread out the recoil impulse for efficient, accurate follow-up shots. A timing nut is included for easy installation. 100% CNC machined in the USA from 416 stainless steel and finished with salt bath nitride.

I put this on a .308 sig mcx. It came with a flash hider that made quick follow up shots impossible! With this Pegasus brake it makes seeing your shots land possible and accurate 1 shot a second follow up shots at 200 yards very easy!

I have a Ruger Precision Rifle chambered in 6.5 creedmoor. If you aren’t familiar with the Ruger Precision Rifles (RPR’s), they are a chassis rifle made for sport and competition shooting rather than hunting mainly. The larger caliber RPR’s typically come with a factory muzzle brake. The point of a muzzle brake in general is to redirect a portion of the propellant gases to counter FELT recoil and unwanted muzzle rise. In other words, it makes the rifle have less kick, stay flatter, and can even make the rifle sound like it is shooting quieter from the shooter’s perspective. The stock brake that comes on the RPR’s does all of that. I’ve shot with the stock brake for the last three years now and have no complaints. It works. BUT- I started building out the rifle a little more and wanted a “tanker” style brake and I came across the Ultradyne Pegasus during my research. I was unable to find a lot of information and reviews about this specific model but ended up purchasing it anyways. I figured at the least, it looks cool. I received the brake in a couple days and took it out to the range. To test the quality of this brake, I printed out a vertical chart with colored boxes to make it easy to measure the muzzle rise and compare the stock RPR brake to the Ultradyne Pegasus. I shot three rounds through the stock brake, then removed it and installed the Pegasus and then shot three more. It was obvious that there was a clear difference between the two, but I went back and looked at the slow-motion video to confirm. First, I reviewed the three shots with the stock brake from Ruger. The barrel of the rifle was sitting at the top of level 5 pre-shot. Each of the three shots, the barrel rose to the 6 and 6.5 bars. When I looked at the video of the three shots using the Pegasus brake, the barrel started at 5.5, and never rose above that. The only movement I got from the Pegasus was when it fired a bullet, the rifle would push straight back into your shoulder. This was exactly what I was looking for. If you have good fundamentals and a good hold on your rifle, this won’t make any difference to your shooting. Another thing I noticed was that the Pegasus muzzle brake has vents on the top of the brake too, while the stock one did not. This helped push the gas upwards to help keep the barrel down, while on the other one the gases were being pushed out the sides and did not help the muzzle rise as good. You can tell this how that the camera (which was 18” from the muzzle) took blurry pictures of the stock muzzle brake because the gasses were blowing outwards at the camera causing it to move, whereas the Pegasus brake got a clearer picture because the majority of the gasses were being directed upwards and had no effect on the camera and picture quality. Overall, I would recommend this muzzle brake to anybody who is looking for a good aftermarket brake, that also looks pretty cool on the end of a rifle. The quality of the break is excellent; it is American made and CNC machined. Couldn’t ask for anything better.

Awesome brake I have this on a 18" sig cross in 6.5 creedmoor have had it for a few years now and it's what I wanted but could never find I want a 90 degree 4 Port brake with a closed top this is closest I could get unless I order one from the 4aw store but this works perfectly I only modified it slightly because it has top ports for off hand shooting to be help with muzzle rise I shoot prone don't need that so I tig welded the top ports closed for linear recoil but other then that perfect they should offer one that is closed top and bottom for elr shooters that don't want dust in there face I think they would sell awesome products from these fine people

Amazing break!!!! Purchased from Brownells on a Black Friday deal. Installation was a breeze, 1" and 3/4" combo wrenches got the job done. I use it on my 16" .223 Wylde and it ran flawlessly. Recoil is virtually eliminated and the concussion wasn't anymore noticeable than an A2 birdcage. Follow-up shots were quick and painless. My nine year old shot with me at the range and she loved it! I've used lots of competing products and this is going to be a permanent addition to my rifle. Worth the money and worth the love!

Bought this for my .308 ar10 and it feels like it has less recoil than my 556 ar15. First time ever buying/installing a muzzle break and it went well! No complaints, this thing is amazing!!!

Bought a Bergara B-14 HMR chambered in .300 Win Mag, and was so stoked about this brake and it performed as expected and looks so good. Also have a old .25-06 and I’m confident enough to say it kicks less than that. Good job on this brake
